The Salvation Army wanted to automate a self-evaluation and planning tool previously distributed as a long, and somewhat complex PDF.
Discovery for this project included more than 30 in-depth interviews with leadership, officers, employees, and volunteers to determine how automation could benefit each of the core audiences.
Over a three year period, a new, Web-based application was rolled out in five phases, and included:
This application isn't aesthetically striking, but if there's elegance in usability and adoption, then beauty is in the eye of the beholder. After its launch, participation and satisfaction with the program rose significantly.
